Succeed was founded in 1999, and over 10 years has grown to become an established specialist Oracle/PeopleSoft consultancy practice that specialises in full project lifecycle implementations of large HCM, CRM, Time and Attendance, Payroll, and Financials applications within the context of Enterprise architectures for large blue chip companies.

We specialise in tackling projects that require a high degree of consultancy and/or high risk technical work. This includes core application package configuration and customisation, but also includes integration work, data warehousing, business process management, and data conversion. Though primarily focused on Oracle PeopleSoft technology, we also have experience and expertise in delivering bespoke .NET development projects.

We occupy a unique position in the Oracle / PeopleSoft consultancy market – though relatively small, we recruit the best, and are highly respected for our functional and technical hitting power compared to Big Five consultancies - this is encapsulated in our mission statement which is encapsulated in 3 words: "Excellence...Professionalism...Innovation...".

We have refined our methods for engaging with clients over many years, and we believe our approach to consulting, based upon a full understanding of waterfall, iterative, and agile methodologies, allows us to carefully fine-tune our engagement methodology depending upon client culture and project dynamics.

We strongly believe that the majority of projects fail as a result of poorly managed requirements gathering and process mapping during the early stages of a project. These activities, which may be augmented with the cataloguing of scenarios (or Use Cases) provide the foundations for a successful project. Formally defining and agreeing requirements, scenarios and business processes is an area in which Succeed excels. Succeed would also recommend and perform some prototyping of the system during the design phase to ensure that key business and IT stakeholders are engaged with the design via workshops and system demonstrations. This is particularly relevant to the high-risk areas of the project.

Though most of our engagements broadly follow a waterfall approach where budget is released to perform discrete stages, we are also fully conversant with Agile methods of working that involve 2-4 week cycles of iterative development. We are also familiar with working in situations where there is no "stage containment" - where different and overlapping phases of a number of waterfall projects are happening at the same time. Through a variety of different engagement approaches, Succeed has built a confidence to be able to deliver quality solutions to create value and success for our clients.
